Three rifles are in the hands of thieves following a Dandenong North burglary.
Police said three men broke into a Gladstone Road home about 3am on Sunday 9 April.
They assaulted the victim, a man in his thirties, forced entry into a gun safe in the garage and stole three bolt-action long-arm rifles, ammunition and a hunting knife.
The three firearms are registered.
