Out of puff

By Casey Neill

Thieves stole a large quantity of cigarettes from a Keysborough tobacconist.
Police said they used a crowbar to smash the front window at the Chapel Road shop, about 2am on Sunday 13 August.
The thieves ransacked the premises and tried unsuccessfully to access an in-store cigarette cabinet.
However they were able to access boxes of cigarettes stored elsewhere.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Christine Johnstone said the heist was not connected to other cigarette thefts that occurred in other suburbs on the same night.
She said CCTV footage showed one man with a crowbar and possibly a second man.
She urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
