Band notches up diamond milestone

The City of Greater Dandenong Band is notching up 60 years in style.
It will present musical gems and greatest hits from the past six decades at its annual cabaret night to mark the diamond milestone.
Songs from David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Queen, U2 and Coldplay will be among the night’s playlist.
Guests are encouraged to dress as their favourite star from the past six decades, with prizes on offer for the best-dressed.
The Springvale City Hall doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start on Saturday 2 September.
Guests can bring their own food and drinks.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 concession, $10 for children aged six to 12 and free for children under five years.
