Police arrested a man following an alleged stabbing in Dandenong on Thursday 1 February.
Investigators have been told that a man assaulted a 34-year-old man on Lonsdale Street about 2.30pm.
The victim then entered the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court to seek help.
Police arrested a 38-year-old Dandenong man a short time later.
He was assisting police with their inquiries.
