Bag snatcher on the run

Police have released an image and video allegedly relating to a street robbery in Dandenong.

A woman snatched a handbag from a victim walking south on Newton Lane about 1.30pm on Monday 9 July, police say.

After pushing and shoving the victim, the woman forcefully took the bag and ran in a northerly direction towards Princes Highway.

The robber is described as Caucasian, in her late thirties, with long brown hair.

She was wearing a red jacket, blue jeans and black shoes with white soles.

Greater Dandenong CIU detectives say the image and video is of a woman who may be able to assist their investigation.
