Headspace and Hawthorn in harmony

Headspace Dandenong, Headspace Narre Warren, headspace Knox and Hawthorn Football Club are combining forces in the name of youth mental health this week.

The groups will be holding a free community BBQ at Harmony Square in Dandenong on Wednesday 29th May from 2pm til 5pm, and are inviting young people 25 years and under to drop in to learn what Headspace and Hawthorn are doing for youth in the community.

There will be giveaways on offer, including free tickets to the Beyond Blue Cup Hawthorn vs West Coast Eagles match.

“We’re really trying to be more entrenched and grow deeper connections with our community as much as possible. Due to our recent partnership … with the HawthornFootball Club, now we’re working closer with them to be able to also engage more with young people and particularly men, out in the community. That’s something we’re super excited about,” said Headspace Community Engagement Worker Danielle McLean.

Harmony Square is located at 225 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong.
