A man out walking has been bashed and robbed by a group of youths in central Springvale.
The 27-year-old was approached from behind by the group of about four or five males on the corner of Victoria and St James avenues about 8.10pm on Tuesday 9 July.
One of the attackers pulled him to ground, Greater Dandenong CIU police say.
Each of the group then kicked him in the head and demanded his phone, wallet and backpack.
The victim handed over the items.
The robbers, described as African appearance, left on foot towards Albert Avenue.
