Chisholm Institute has warned of “challenging times” after suffering “significant” state budget cuts to the public TAFE system.

Institute chief executive officer Maria Peters said the TAFE would suffer cuts of at least $20 million.

It would have “serious implications” for the institute’s course provision and operations, she said.

“Our residents should be ensured greater access to quality training, especially for the most disadvantaged.”
