Casey Council’s chief executive officer has defended his attendance at a candidates’ forum last week.
“It is quite appropriate for a CEO to attend a forum where candidates express their aspirations for the municipality,” MrTyler said.
“I have attended numerous candidate forums over the years and this is the first time such concerns have been raised.”
One of the candidates at the Four Oaks Ward forum, Paul Richardson, told the Journal that Mr Tyler’s presence had startled and intimidated him. ”I have serious concerns about Mr Tyler being present. He has far too much influence on the councillors as it is.’’
