VPL: Greens steal Thunder

Dandenong Thunder has officially lost star Luke Sherbon to Bentleigh Greens while striker Nate Foster is rumoured to be following him to the Greens.

Bentleigh confirmed Sherbon’s signature last week, with the Welshman to take both a playing role and a key coaching role in the club’s junior program. Foster is reportedly in negotiations with the Greens about a move to the club.

Sherbon told the Journal on November 25 that he was moving to another VPL club which had made an offer to good to refuse. Sherbon’s loss will hurt the Thunder immensely while Foster’s loss would be equalling as troubling, as the pair combined for almost 40 goals this past Victorian Premier League season in which the Thunder won the treble.
