TWO men were arrested after a shooting of a 31-year-old man in Dandenong North on Sunday. The man remains in a life-threatening condition after being shot in the head.
Police said the shooting did not appear to be related to Melbourne’s bikie wars.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman Ray Rowe said paramedics were called to a Brady Road home just after 1.15pm.
They found a man in a critical condition from a gunshot wound.
“They’ve treated him at the scene for some minutes and were taking him through to The Alfred hospital.”
Leading Senior Constable Julie-Anne Newman said: “It doesn’t appear OMCG [outlaw motorcycle gang]-related at this stage.”
A 42-year-old man from Dandenong and a 49-year-old from Rowville were taken into custody and questioned by detectives.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
