Aboriginal flag to fly

GREATER Dandenong Council plans to fly the Aboriginal flag alongside the Australian flag and its own banner at Dandenong Civic Centre.
Councillors at their 14 December meeting sought a report on erecting a third flag pole at the Lonsdale Street venue to facilitate the plan.
The report will include engagement with Aboriginal community leaders and consider other example jurisdictions where the policy has been implemented.
