Dandenong West Primary students are putting on a fete to fund Christmas presents for children in need.
They want to raise $1000 to deliver gifts overseas through Operation Christmas Child.
There will be craft, trash ‘n’ treasure stalls, jewellery and dress-up stalls, a bouncy castle, sausage sizzle and bake sale.
The Grade 5 and 6 students have been busily making signs that will be displayed on the day, plus cards for stallholders.
They participate in Youth Unlimited, which is a weekly after-school program held at the school by volunteers.
The fete will take place from 8am to 2pm on Saturday 3 September at Dandenong Baptist Church, 25-27 James Street, Dandenong.
Fete grand goal for Santa’s little helpers
