POLICE have searched shops, warehouses and private premises in Dandenong and Noble Park as part of an investigation into the theft of almost $1 million worth of wine.
Police executed 13 search warrants throughout the south eastern suburbs last Thursday, recovering 13 pallets of Penfolds wine believed to have been among 60 pallets of Penfolds wine taken from a warehouse in Cheltenham between April and June this year. Other searches were carried out in Chadstone, Clayton, Thornbury, Moorabbin and Hawksburn.
