New Dandenong basketball boss

Dandenong Basketball Association has appointed former Australian player David Graham as its new chief executive.

He replaces highly respected former chief executive Graeme Allan, who was poached by Basketball Australia earlier in the year to take on a senior role with the national body. Graham had an extensive playing career in the NBL and played for Australia in the 1990 world championships before moving into the corporate world.

DBA chairman Lou Godfrey said Graham’s experience in marketing and digital media helped him win the role.

“From an outstanding field of candidates, David was the board’s choice,” Godfrey said. “He has had very successful experience in high-profile organisations and we felt he was the most suited candidate to develop the DBA further, following the outstanding work of Graeme Allen.” Graham is expected to commence his new role in January.
