EMERGE Festival Under the Big Top will celebrate the arts and culture of Dandenong’s refugee and emerging communities at Dandenong Market.
Multicultural Arts Victoria (MAV) and the Refugee Action Program at SCAAB will present the inaugural event from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 8 June.
The free event will include cooking demonstrations, a talent contest, music and dance performances, and more.
The festival is an outcome of MAV’s Emerge Cultural Hubs program, which aims to empower and create connections for artists and communities from refugee backgrounds.
