NOBLE Park firefighters received an unexpected callout to their own cars after another car crashed into their parked vehicles on Sunday morning.
After hearing the loud crash, two volunteer members of Noble Park Country Fire Authority raced outside to find a Mazda sedan had careered into their vehicles causing significant damage.
But the valiant firefighters first paid attention to the unconscious driver of the Mazda and applied CPR until paramedics arrived.
It did, however, take the efforts of Dandenong Country Fire Authority’s rescue unit to pop the boot of one firefighter’s car so he could later retrieve his CFA gear.
Paramedics took the driver to Dandenong Hospital for further treatment, and police are investigating the incident.
