Police in dramatic pursuit

POLICE have confirmed a man has been arrested near Swan Reach after a four-hour high-speed chase from Dandenong.

The man had been arrested by the police’s Special Operation Group about 2.30pm – about 270 kilometres away from the Rogers Street house where the dramatic chase began.

A MAN is on-the-run after Dandenong police were called out to a house in Rogers Street this morning.
A police spokeswoman said the man had refused police requests to leave the premises from about 10.30am before fleeing with a female passenger in a car.
The car, believed to have since travelled through Ferntree Gully, Morwell and Traralgon, is being followed by a police helicopter with several police vehicles trailing at some distance.
