A MAN found slumped behind the wheel of an allegedly stolen station wagon has been charged with drug trafficking.
Majed Al-Dimachki, 29, of Hampton, had apparently suffered an overdose when he was found in the blue Nissan Pathfinder at the corner of South Gippsland Highway and Dandenong Bypass, Dandenong South, on 14 October at 5.30pm.
Detective Senior Constable Kimberley Alp of Greater Dandenong CIU said the vehicle had been spotted earlier being driven erratically along the bypass.
During a search of the car, police allegedly found about 2.4 kilograms of a precursor chemical for the drug GHB.
Al-Dimachki was charged with trafficking and driving while disqualified.
He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 8 January.
