A FIRE that tore through grassland in Dandenong was deliberately lit, police have said.
They are appealing for information about the grass and scrub fire which started alongside the EastLink Trail at the end of Wayne Court just after 4pm on Friday 20 February.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Tony Lavars said it burned out an area of 50 metres by 20 metres and he appealed for anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
