Attackers target laptop

A MAN has been set upon by at least four attackers who tried to steal his laptop computer as he walked through Springvale.
The 34-year-old Springvale man was walking along Virginia Street when four to five men jumped him and tried to take his laptop bag.
All of the attackers punched the victim but then fled without stealing anything after a car turned into the street.
Police would like to speak to the driver of the car.
The offenders were last seen running towards Springvale Road.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
