RETIRED Bomber and Dovetonite Adam Ramanauskas hit the greens of Cranbourne Golf Club just days before his final AFL match against St Kilda.
The Team Rama Charity Golf Day was a fundraiser for the Cancer Council of Victoria’s Relay for Life, with proceeds going towards research.
Ramanauskas made three brave AFL comebacks after beating cancer, making his story a remarkable one.
“Almost everybody has been touched by cancer in one way or another and Relay for Life is a fantastic way to raise funds and awareness,” Ramanauskas said.
“After seeing what I went through with my cancer treatment, mum and dad and my wife Belinda thought we should play our part and try and raise money, so they asked all our family and friends to join Team Rama and help with the fight against cancer.”
Other Essendon legends including Dustin Fletcher and James Hird joined Ramanauskas on the green, and Star photographer Stewart Chambers was on hand to catch the action last Friday.
