Victims saves phone, suffers bruised eye

A would-be mobile phone thief punched a Springvale woman in the face.
The 28-year-old victim was using her phone while walking along Travethic Street, Springvale, about 9.40pm on Friday 15 July.
A man approached and demanded the device, so the victim started yelling for help.
The man punched her once to the left eye and fled on foot.
The victim called triple-zero and was taken to Dandenong Hospital with minor injuries, including a bruised and swollen eye.
