Bikies hit in car-ram arson attack

By Casey Neill

Raiders drove a car into the Rebels bikie gang headquarters in Dandenong South and torched it, sending the England Street premises up in flames.
In contrast to the fire’s violent start, Dandenong police officer Senior Constable Tim Parker rescued a tiny black kitten from the building.
Detectives from the anti-bikie Echo Taskforce are investigating the incident, which occurred about 4.25am on Friday 21 October.
About 20 firefighters from the Dandenong and Springvale fire brigades attended.
Investigators said no one was injured but the fire completely destroyed the outlaw motor cycle gang (OMCG) premises.
Taskforce officers had raided the club house and three other premises on Wednesday 19 October following an affray in Dandenong during the week of 10 October.
They arrested a 33-year-old man at the scene and charged him with affray and other matters, and seized drugs and clothing.
