Two 23-year-old men were robbed at gunpoint late in January after withdrawing money from an ATM in Dandenong.
The men had withdrawn the money from a Commonwealth ATM on Lonsdale Street, about 9.45pm on Saturday 21 January, before getting into their car and driving to Weller Street.
It was on Weller Street the men noticed a white four-wheel drive Landcruiser parked on the side of the road.
Two men and a woman were waiting outside the car and the two waiting men approached the victims in the car.
One of the robbers, wearing a black mask, pulled out a black handgun and demanded the victims hand over any money they had.
The victims both complied with the demands and handed over their wallets, each of which contained about $400.
The robbers then told the victims to get back in their car and drive away.
The robbers followed them for a short time but the young men lost sight of the 4WD on Hemmings Street.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call Dandenong CIU on 9767 7444 or make an anonymous report to crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.
