Coppers and shoppers got together for a cuppa at Dandenong Plaza.
The shopping centre hosted International Coffee with a Cop Day on Wednesday 4 October.
The event invited members of the public to share a coffee with local police officers to discuss issues, raise questions or just get to know a little more about their role.
California’s Hawthorne Police Department launched Coffee with a Cop in 2011, seeking ways to more successfully interact with its community.
The program reached Australia in 2015.
