Bandits armed with a gun and a machete robbed a Keysborough milk bar.
Greater Dandenong CIU is investigating the armed robbery, which occurred on Currawong Street about 9.25pm on Sunday 21 January.
A 63-year-old man was stacking shelves when two men of African appearance wearing gloves and ski masks walked into the store.
The duo threatened the man and forced him to open a cigarette cabinet.
They stole about $15,000 worth of cigarettes and the store’s CCTV hard drive system.
Greater Dandenong CIU Senior Constable Blake Gilbert said they fled in a vehicle parked on Currawong Street.
He said no further description was available.
Sen Const Gilbert said it’s possible that the men attended the milk bar two days earlier, on Friday 19 January.
He urged anyone who thinks they saw the men or their vehicle on the day of the robbery or the earlier date to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
