Dandenong on song for carols

THE Greater Dandenong community will come together to celebrate the festive season this weekend for the 63rd Dandenong Carols by Candlelight.
The much-loved community event, organised by the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce, will feature a range of performances and carolling by both well-known and local groups and singers.
Performances will include songs from Ian McDonald, Daina Jowsey and the Greater Dandenong Sings Choir.
The City of Greater Dandenong Band, Come Alive, Alisha Griffiths-Bell, Dandenong Choral Society, Erin Gill, Colin Morley, Reverend Lauleti Tulinavia, Goss Community Choir and the Emerson School Choir will also perform on the night.
Santa Claus will also drop in for a special visit about 8.30pm.
The show will kick off at 6.30pm at Dandenong Park, Corner Pultney and Foster streets, Dandenong.
People are encouraged to come along and bring along a chair or picnic rug and enjoy a night of fun, family entertainment.
