LOCK it up or risk losing it.
That is the message from police following a rise in thefts from cars and thefts of cars in Greater Dandenong recent weeks.
Police said there had been reports of more than 20 thefts from cars and about eight cars stolen this month.
Police said Parkmore Shopping Centre car park had been a problem spot, as well as around the Hammond Road, Dandenong South, area.
Police urged people to be vigilant during the Christmas shopping time.
Anyone who witnesses a theft should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
