Get set for a spiritual journey

BE PREPARED for a spiritual journey through the Walker Street Gallery in May when the painting and sculpture exhibit Stillpoint arrives.
In our life journey, there is a space one rarely comes to, the space where there is a simultaneous awareness of the beginning and the end. Here is the stillpoint.
When translated from Sanskrit, Mandala means the centre and periphery of a circle at the same time. The mandala is pivotal to the centre and working from this point Karen Scott maps out her journey to express the unspeakable.
The stillpoint is a concept as much as it is a physical place. It is the point between two breaths, the point between past and future – the now.
Jenny Rowe develops and interprets her thoughts and feelings into sculptural form that finds a connection with that special place.
This is a spectacular collection of images that have emerged from the stillpoint.
The official opening of the exhibition will be on 3 May at 6.30pm. Viewing times are 11am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 11am to 3pm on Saturdays. The exhibit runs until 28 May.
