Pennant on serve

SPRINGVALE North Tennis Club begins its quest for grade-two pennant glory on Sunday when it takes on North Ringwood at home.
Stephen Sruk, Steven Nguyen, Zelko Lovric and Trent Cobb have been named in the final squad to contest the opening round.
Henryk Pawlukowski (patellar tendonitis) and David Fonseca (sprained ankle) miss with injury, but will be available for selection the following week.
Sruk was hopeful of starting the season with a win.
“We’ve got Henryk and Dave out, but the players in should be able to get the job done,” he said.
The season serves into action at 1pm.
