Real fire at real estate firm

A NOBLE Park real estate agency was the target of a suspected arson attack just four days into the new year.
On Friday 4 January at 12.30am fire crews were called to Barry Plant real estate on the corner of Heatherton and Chandler roads in Noble Park.
Firefighters said a fire appeared to have been lit at the rear door of the building and had started to enter the structure upon their arrival.
Crews from Dandenong, Springvale and Noble Park CFA stations attended and extinguished the fire within five minutes.
CFA crews used a thermal detector to ensure the fire had not spread into wall cavities.
They then used a positive-pressure fan to ventilate the building, and special detectors to confirm no toxins were lingering in the rooms of the building.
Police are now investigating the incident. Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
