City set to swing

PALM Plaza will host a range of free afternoon music concerts over the next few months to help people get into the swing of summer.
The Music in the City events will showcase a number of bands including the police band Code One, The Australian Army Band and other community performers.
The next free community concert will be held on Friday 28 January from 11.30am to 2pm.
Paperbark Ward councillor Pinar Yesil said the Music in the City events were a great way to bring the community together.
“These free community events feature a variety of service bands, playing a diverse range of classic and current hits,” she said.
“It’s a great way to be entertained during your lunch break and is fun for the whole community.”
The council’s Music in the City events will be held every month between January and mid-March in Palm Plaza Dandenong.
The Police Show Band will perform on 29 January, The Australian Army Band will perform on 19 February and the Police Band Code One will perform on 19 March.
