Climate role for MP

ISAACS MP Mark Dreyfus has been promoted.
On Tuesday afternoon, Mr Dreyfus was sworn into his new role of Cabinet Secretary and the Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency in the recently elected Gillard Government.
Mr Dreyfus said he was keen to assist the new Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, Greg Combet, to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy usage in the community.
“I am honoured to be given these roles within the Gillard Government, and I look forward to working with Greg Combet to deliver on the Gillard Government’s renewable energy program and in building community consensus to put a price on carbon,” Mr Dreyfus said.
