DANDENONG West Primary School embraced the schools multiculturalism as its grade six students graduated on Tuesday.
The school is one of the most multicultural schools in Victoria and the first introduction to Australian education for many students newly arrived from overseas.
On Tuesday, 39 students from 16 countries who speak a total of 19 languages graduated.
To embrace the school’s diversity, children dressed in their national garb for the special day.
The day included each student speaking about their time at the primary school, presentation from the principal and a slideshow of the pupils in action during the past year.
