Man on robbery charges

DETECTIVES from the Frankston Embona Taskforce charged a 27-year-old Noble Park man with five counts of armed robbery after a bottle shop in Springvale Road, Springvale South, was robbed about 4.30pm on 27 December.
It is alleged the man, armed with a knife, demanded money from the attendant and fled in a vehicle after taking a quantity of cash.
The man was arrested in Heatherton Road, Dandenong, a short time later.
Earlier in the day the man is alleged to have held up a cheesecake shop in Elonera Road, Noble Park, about 12.40pm, where a knife was again used and cash taken from a register.
The man also faces charges over an armed robbery at a liquor store at Princes Highway, Doveton, on 13 December.
Other charges laid included the armed robberies of a bottle shop in Cheltenham Road, Keysborough on 16 December, and a drive-through bottle shop in Corrigan Road, Keysborough, on December 22.
