Home invasion charges

TWO 26-year-old men were arrested and charged after a savage home assault in Dandenong South at 11am on Sunday.
After forcing entry through the front door of the home, the two men allegedly attacked a 29-year-old male resident, who was asleep at the time.
The man was kicked and punched to the head, face and body and was left with severe facial lacerations, swelling and a dislocated shoulder.
Police believe theattackers knew the man before the attack.
They fled before police arrived but attended the Dandenong Police station on Monday afternoon to voluntarily hand themselves in.
The two Hampton Park men were charged with burglary, aggravated burglary and serious assault.
They were remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
