By JARROD POTTER

GREATER Dandenong’s Southern Football League forces assemble for their first hit-outs in Division 2 and 3 competitions starting this weekend.
Springvale Districts, Dandenong, Lyndale and Sandown Cobras all head into the season with the top prize in mind – especially for the Cobras who were narrowly edged out for the 2012 SFL Division 3 crown by Moorabbin.
Narre Warren under-18s super-boot Billy Athanasopoulos, Narre Warren under-18 Jordan Wachter also heads up to joins the Demons as does Berwick under-18s Kristopher Merz.
Ordell Buntine is off to Lyndale as are Endeavour Hills midfielder Trent Day, Doveton Eagles gun Brian Grundy while former coach Glen Krepp has headed to the YVMDFL and has been replaced at the helm by Rodney Benstead.
Nicholas Morrish left his brother Stuart at Cranbourne to search for better opportunity at the Cobras and will add another strong ruck option for Mick Rossborough to utilise.
One of Nyora’s finest footballers, in the Ellinbank District Football League, will pull on the boots for Dandenong – with Dylan Bracebridge crossing over to join the Redlegs as are Doveton’s Dale Jose and David Behan (Murrembeena).
