Choir’s Christmas cheer

THE Australian Girls Choir will present a Christmas show with an Aussie twist at Drum Theatre next month.
It will combine traditional carols with a selection of much-loved Australian anthems.

Fun for the young
THE Castle will host the Community Summer Festival this week.
The fee event celebrates All Abilities Week, is for anyone aged 12 to 25 and includes DJs, a jumping castle, jewellery making, circus games and more.

Community watch
NEIGHBOURHOOD Watch Greater Dandenong is welcoming new members, and has a fund-raising dinner coming up.
The three-course dinner is $16 and there’s a prize for the best outfit. Bookings are essential.

Candles and carols
CAROLS by Candlelight will bring music and joy to Dandenong Park again this Christmas.
The Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce event features traditional and contemporary carols.
Bring a rug, candle and a picnic.

Roller derby battle
THE Final Smackdown will see South Sea Roller Derby sides the Dolly Rogers and the Cutthroat Charmers battle it out.
A portion of ticket sales will go to Movember.
– Saturday 30 November, from 6pm. Springers Leisure Centre, 400 Cheltenham Road, Keysborough. Entry is $10 for adults, $5 for children and free for under-fives.
German Christmas Bazaar
ST JOHN’S German Lutheran Parish in Springvale is hosting its annual Christmas celebration.
There’ll be gifts and decorations, home-made food, activities, a raffle and live music from the Accordion Accents Ensemble and Hans and his barrel organ.
– Saturday 30 November, from 10am. The church premises at 3 Albert Avenue, Springvale.
Nederlands Kerstfeest
THE annual Dutch Christmas celebration will include carols, supper and more.
