Eliadis now an international

By JARROD POTTER

FROM Endeavour Hills to Tokyo, Melbourne Victory soccer player Tiffany Eliadis is off on the trip-of-a-lifetime with the Melbourne Victory.
As part of the Melbourne Victory squad for the International Women’s Club Championship – held in Tokyo, Japan – 18-year-old Eliadis took her soccer to an international level as her W-League side faced Okayama Yunogo Belle on Sunday afternoon (Japanese Standard Time) after the Journal went to print.
The Victory earned their spot in the six-team tournament following their 2013-14 W-League grand-final win over the Brisbane Roar earlier this year.
Melbourne Victory departed for Japan on Thursday for the International Women’s Club Championship, where it will square off against Okayama Yunogo Belle on November 30 in the quarter-finals. If they are successful, the Victory will face Arsenal in the semi-finals of the single-elimination tournament.
It is Eliadis’ third season with the Melbourne Victory and the young midfielder/striker has already earned 11 appearances for the side in her fledgling career.
Dandenong City junior girls’ coach Gulcan Koca is also part of the Melbourne Victory line-up to take on the world at the championships, before the Victory fly back and begin their finals’ campaign in pursuit of defending the W-League championship.
