It’s Good For Footy

HAWTHORN super-boot Jack Gunston is set to join up with Noble Park junior and senior players along with Patterson Cheney Toyota in support of Good For Footy on Wednesday 6 May from 6pm.
The Good for Footy program is a grassroots initiative, allowing dealers such as Patterson Cheney Toyota, an opportunity to give back to their local communities by providing financial support for their local football club and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans to get up close with AFL stars.
As a proud sponsor of the Good For Footy program since it commenced in 2005, Patterson Cheney Toyota in Dandenong always makes sure the night will be something for the kids to remember – this year will be no exception. Jack Gunston, Toyota ambassador and a key player with the Hawthorn Football Club, will be on-site, helping the kids have some fun as he runs training drills and chats about his career.
So far, more than 130 local football clubs have benefited from this program, receiving over $2.6 million dollars between them thanks to Toyota dealers across the states. In partnership with its dealer network and 3AW who provide live crosses on the night, Toyota encourages all dealers to get behind grass roots football.
“Toyota has been supporting Good For Footy for the past 10 years, the same length of time we have been supporting the Noble Park Junior Football Club,” Patterson Cheney General Sales Manager, David Haines said.
“We’re committed to leading community involvement and we see this as a perfect opportunity to be part of our wonderful community.
“This year we choose Noble Park to host Good For Footy due to their dedication towards this great game and the support they have provided to the local community.
“On the night there are plenty of activities on offer including a footy challenge course, bucking footy, music, and of course a huge inflatable handball competition, plus we’ll all have a chance to run through the club’s banner on the night.”
The bar will be open, there’s hot food available and heaps of fun activities on the night, along with 3AW broadcasting live crosses throughout.
