Pushing the point

Liberals vote against the removal of Dandenong level crossings.
We’re keeping our promise to remove the Abbotts Road, South Gippsland Highway,
Chandler Road, Heatherton Road and Corrigan Road level crossings.
We want to get people home to their families safer and sooner.
These five level crossings hold up motorists, cyclists and emergency services vehicles. They congest our local roads, risk lives and slow down trains on the Cranbourne-Pakenham line.
Residents of Dandenong voted for the Andrews Labor Government to remove these
dangerous relics of the past.
But in Parliament, the Liberal Party opposed the Bill that will help remove Melbourne’s 50
most dangerous and congested level crossings and create thousands of new jobs.
On behalf of the people of Dandenong who elected me as their representative, I will continue to tell the Liberal Party that local roads, local lives and local jobs matter and that these five dangerous level crossings must be removed.
Gabrielle Williams MP,
State Member for Dandenong.
