Blicavs’ season sign up

DANDENONG Rangers have retained their first major piece of the 2016/17 WNBL season with Sara Blicavs re-committing to the side.
She was arguably one of its most important players throughout the 2015/16 WNBL season and Dandenong confirmed this week that it locked down Blicavs, 23, to a one-season deal.
Averaging 13.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, the versatile swingman played a major role in Dandenong’s push to the WNBL finals, which was cut short by the SEQ Stars.
Blicavs is with the Australian Opals at the moment as she tries to secure a spot on the 12-woman roster for the Rio Olympic Games.
The Opals are currently on tour in Japan, playing a three-game warm-up tour against the hosts in Nagaoka on 7 May and then two games in Tokyo on 9-10 May.
