Lunar New Year
This Springvale Asian Business Association (SABA) event will transform the Buckingham Avenue shopping precinct into a colourful, vibrant space to celebrate the Year of the Dog.
There’ll be more than 80 market stalls, traditional lion dancing, firecrackers, games, rides, live bands, Asian cuisine and fireworks at 9pm.
Festival-goers are encouraged to use public transport.

Perambulations
Ivan Macarambon’s art deals with conflicts – the conflict between the traditional and the contemporary, the pure and the adulterated, the past and the future.

World Wetlands Day
This free, all-ages event will explore and celebrate the natural environment and the diversity of life in the wetlands.
There’ll be crafts, fishing, casting-on workshops, African drumming, live animals, a free indigenous plant giveaway and a free barbecue.
– Tirhatuan Park, Kriegal Way (off Outlook Drive), Dandenong North. Saturday 10 February, 4pm to 7pm. Bookings are essential. Call 8571 1702.

Family fun at the library
Children and their carers can enjoy Lego, chess, puzzles and games.
Playing games together can improve literacy, numeracy, spatial awareness, socially appropriate behaviour and fair play.
This event is free and no booking is required.
