Dark night for Thunder

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

Dandenong Thunder may rue last Friday night, the day it walked off Kingston Heath following a nil-all draw with the Bentleigh Greens.
The stalemate epitomised a game in which both teams cursed missed opportunities but for the eighth placed Thunder, the consequences could be worse than for the second-placed Greens.
With a top three spot arguably still up for grabs, the Thunder were unable to topple the competitive Greens despite taking it right up to one of the better sides in the competition.
Dandenong sit on 17 points for the season, one behind South Melbourne and Green Gully.
The Thunder will now travel to Kevin Bartlett Reserve to take on the lowly Richmond, which has one win for the season.
If Dandenong wants to be in a competitive position come finals, it can’t leave the ground this Friday night again thinking ‘what if?’
