FIRE destroyed a stolen Peugeot in Carlton Road, Dandenong North, about 9pm on Monday 22 July.
Police are appealing for witnesses, and Inspector Bruce Kitchen urged residents to be vigilant and report suspicious behaviour to police to combat the growing trend.
Stolen cars are regularly dumped and set alight in the Dandenong South and Bangholme industrial estates.
