A WALK for White Ribbon Day will make its way through central Dandenong on Tuesday.
It will start at The Kitchen at Dandenong Market at 9.45am and travel to the Drum Theatre, corner Lonsdale and Walker streets, Dandenong.
There Phil Cleary, Magistrate Leslie Fleming and other guests will speak about the impact of family violence and what everyone can do to prevent it.
The White Ribbon Day Walk is designed to raise awareness and promote relationships between men and women based on respect and equality.
Pop Up Park in Dandenong will host White Ribbon Day activities from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, including a police versus community soccer match.
Also marking White Ribbon Day, 25 November, is a free community art exhibition at Laurel Lodge at Heritage Hill in McCrae Street, Dandenong.
Behind the Veil celebrates survival and was produced by those who’ve experienced or know someone who has experienced family violence.
It’s open between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday and noon to 4pm Sundays until 6 December.
