DANDENONG’S Amelia Ameti will celebrate her 10th birthday at Disneyland – all thanks to a freezer.
Her dad Leka bought the appliance from The Good Guys in Dandenong late last year and entered a competition to win a family trip to the Californian theme park.
His name was drawn as one of 20 winners across the state during December.
Mr Ameti’s wife Rovena and son Daniel will also make the journey to the US.
“We haven’t been overseas for a few years because of construction work and have always wanted to go to Disneyland!” he said.
“It was the best Christmas present we could have asked for!
“We’re all looking forward to spending time together and celebrating Amelia’s birthday.”
