IT was a case of lightning striking twice when a driver lost control and ploughed into a weatherboard house in Dandenong on Saturday afternoon.
Springvale SES unit operations deputy controller Paul Daniel said a Honda sedan smashed through a paling fence on the corner of Potter and Hemmings Streets and became wedged under the home on 26 April.
“A similar accident occurred at the same property a few months ago,” he said.
Springvale SES members were called to assist Victoria Police and CFA at the property.
“After the car was removed, a jack was used to raise a bearer slightly so wooden cribbing could be inserted to support the structure,” Mr Daniel said.
“Members had to deal with earth that was quite soft from the recent rains.
“The driver was uninjured.”
