POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a wheelie bin fire in Noble Park.
A Karan Court resident heard a number of large bangs about 10.30pm on 31 May and investigated to find a bin on fire at a neighbouring home.
His attempts to extinguish the fire with a garden hose were unsuccessful. The CFA attended and brought the fire under control, containing the damage to the bin.
No-one was home at the time, but police spoke to the owners and determined there was nothing flammable in the bin that could have combusted.
They have deemed the fire’s cause suspicious and urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
